Today, our president came out and said a plan to ram a plane into an L.A. tower was thwarted. Foiled four years ago. And never mind the Los Angeles mayor was blindsided by the news.

I mean, what would the Bush White House be trying to do? Distract us from bad news? I mean, it's not like they were slow in sending help to New Orleans even though they knew soon after the levees broke....

And so, per Bush's pledge, Cheney should get canned. Right?

I suspect the answer to these questions will be "I think not." But one can always hope.
