Colbert Nation

Damn. All this fuss over one little speech.

C-SPAN Asks Web Sites to Pull Colbert Clip The cable network asked two Internet video providers, YouTube and IFILM, to pull clips of Stephen Colbert's April 29 performance at the White House Correspondents Association dinner from their Web sites.

C-SPAN said it contacted the companies because the copyrighted material was posted online without its permission.

You can still find it here on Google Video.

Some folks are calling him Stephen Colbert: New American Hero
Many are crying out Thank You!

Of all of this, the BEST is President Bush's reaction . Must be tough, Mr. President. Must be tough. Hard work! Hard work!

All this is turning into quite the blogstorm

How's this for a newsworthy lead? It was perhaps the first time in Bush's tenure that the president was forced to sit and listen to any American cite the litany of criminal and corruption allegations that have piled up against his administration. And mouth-tense Bush and first lady Laura Bush fled as soon as possible afterward.
~ DOUG ELFMAN Television Critic, Chicago Sun-Times

I stand by this man. I stand by this man because he stands for things. Not only for things, he stands on things. Things like aircraft carriers and rubble and recently flooded city squares. And that sends a strong message that no matter what happens to America, she will always rebound with the most powerfully staged photo ops in the world. ~Colbert
